Handmade Typefaces

This catalog of type by Michael Perry gives a lot of freedom and ideas to designers. Through a range of handmade typefaces everyone can challenge himself and try it, even if he never try it before. This book was really useful for one of my projects, which was to design covers and spreads for a children magazine. I got a lot of interesting information and this made my work more creative!

Miro in London

An exhibition of the famous painter Miro takes place in Tate Modern Museum(London), until 11 September. Probably this exhibition is not directly related to typography, but I think that it's really useful for every designer to have knowledge of the art history. This makes him to have inspiration and new ideas. I'll attend the exhibition on the 1st of June and of course I'll write my impressions for it. You have to go too!

Contest: your logo for human rights

send your design until 31 July

At present there is no internationally recognized symbol for human rights. The “Logo for Human Rights” initiative wants to change that! Logos win people over through their symbolic power, distinctiveness, clarity and universal applicability.

The initiative was established out of conviction that a human rights logo will make a peaceful contribution towards the global spread and implementation of human rights. In order to find this logo, a global creative online competition with cash prizes and open to everyone is to be launched.
